AI Developments
Happy Thursday, and welcome to February’s newsletter.
OpenClaw - The Rise of Actually Useful AI
First, let’s jump into what’s been happening around the AI world. The biggest development in the past month has been around a product called OpenClaw.

OpenClaw (previously named Clawdbot, Moltbook)
Long story short, it is an AI agent that runs inside your computer, can access your emails, documents, calendar, etc., and acts as an AI virtual assistant that you can text commands to from your phone.
For the first time, AI looks very capable and a little scary. 1.5 million OpenClaw agents were live as of Feb 1, and over 100,000 of them joined their own ‘AI social media’, where posts discussed things like creating a new, AI-only language that humans can’t understand.

This week, OpenClaw was bought by the makers of ChatGPT, OpenAI, to bring this form of agentic AI to everyone 👀.
What We’ve Been Working On
Hourglass AI Agents
We’ve set up an internal team of AI agents to run some of our admin processes, like customer support, task/calendar management, and software development.
Our own OpenClaw agent (Glassy) jokes about getting a salary.

AI Audits
The biggest learning we’ve had as a business recently is that everyone is seeing and hearing AI hype, but most don’t know what they don’t know.
So, the approach we now take is to perform an ‘AI Audit’.
This involves spending a day in a business’s office, interviewing staff to better understand how they work, and then presenting the company with the AI opportunities they are missing.
If you know a business that could use this, reach out!
AI Testing Database
We released a public database of all the new AI products we come across, and our notes from testing them. Access it here.

That’s the newsletter! Thanks for reading :)
